Used within the same recommended parameters, LiFePO4 batteries last for 1,000 to 3,000 charge and discharge cycles, compared to 200 to 1,000 cycles for a lead-acid battery.
Depth of discharge (DOD) of 90% or more
This is compared to about 50% for a lead-acid battery. A LiFePO4 battery provides power for longer intervals between charging, making it ideal as a wind turbine battery.
Energy efficiency of 95%
This is compared to 80 to 85% for a lead-acid battery. LiFePO4 batteries charge faster and have higher capacity, so they can power more appliances.
